“It’s a calm, warm, and fuzzy environment with coloring books, paintings, and games. A place to be vulnerable and connect deeper with friends and new people…This space is super intentional and welcoming.”
For two years, Grooving for Good has explored the wonder and magic of amplifying empathy.
Come join us for workshops, games, live art, music, food, and more as we celebrate the two year anniversary of Grooving for Good!
Profits from the night will be donated to NAMI Seattle! NAMI Seattle is the only organization in the Seattle area working specifically to fill the gaps in our local mental health system through peer-led education, referrals, and support. Originally established as “Washington Advocates for the Mentally Ill” in 1978, we worked with other concerned groups across the country to launch a national advocacy and support organization: The National Alliance on Mental Illness, or NAMI. Today, NAMI is the largest grassroots mental health organization in the nation.
+ Workshops & Talks include:
- Wellness & the Environment: An interactive discussion on the nueroscience behind why the Environment is so good for our mental well-being!
- The Power of Sound: Through the lens of electronic composition, we'll be taking a deep dive into how certain sounds impact us!
+ Vendors from the Self Care Square, including amazing food from Mahaba Moss
+ Live Art from Katie Monk & Friends, and Rolando & Friends!
+ Board Games, Coloring Books, Crafts, and More!
+ Live DJs, Dance to Seattle's best up and coming and veteran Music Selectors
